One World Trade Center’s Observation Deck Unveils Pricing

OCTOBER 29, 2014 • One World Trade Center has revealed ticket pricing for its One World Observatory deck that will take over the building’s 100, 101, and 102 floors when it opens to the public in 2015. Adult admission to the deck, which will obviously become the highest in the city because it is on the top floors of the city’s tallest building, will cost $32. While it may sound like a hefty price, the cost is in the range of classic observation decks throughout the city like Top of the Rock which asks $29, and the Empire State Building’s which costs visitors from $29 (all the way up to $67.) One World Observatory will even face new rivals when One Vanderbilt’s and Hudson Yards’ observation decks open to the public in the not-totally-distant future.

Along with unveiling the observation deck’s price, operating company Legends Hospitality has also revealed the attraction’s logo which, as per a press release, includes the building’s silhouette “outlined in multiple hues of the color blue, representative of the vast skyline that surrounds the space on all sides. Angles, reflections, strength and sky all combine in the mark to incite emotions of stability, balance and optimism.”

The One World Observatory experience will include a trip up to the building’s highest floors, a 1,250-foot climb which, may we remind, will only take 60 seconds in the building’s special Sky Pod elevators. The tour will begin with an exhibition that shows visitors first-hand accounts of the rising tower as well as some of the bedrock on which it’s built. Once visitors reach the top of the building, they will be ushered to view an interactive video whose screen draws back to unveil the real-life views from the 102nd floor. Visitors can then visit the observation deck’s other amenities, like its restaurants, bar, or retail area, or its City Pulse station where docents will be available to tell guests about the views. Confused? Good thing there’s this video to depict everything the attraction will offer.
